Shipbuilding and vessel rehabilitation
A vessel out of service earns nothing. Our rehabilitation work is organised around that single fact: survey quickly, scope honestly, mobilise fully resourced, and return the vessel to operation without a second shutdown to finish what was missed.
We work on the craft that actually move Tanzania's lakes — fuel and cargo tankers, passenger and cargo vessels, pontoons and barges, workboats, and artisanal fishing fleets — from single-defect repairs through to complete multi-discipline overhauls.
What a rehabilitation with us covers
- Pre-work condition survey and defect listing, with thickness measurement where required
- Hull plate renewal, frame and stiffener repair, and structural steel replacement
- Deck, superstructure, bulkhead and tank repair
- Engine room refurbishment, machinery overhaul and realignment
- Piping system repair and replacement

- Sandblasting, surface preparation and full marine coating systems
- Sea trial support and documented handover
New-build fabrication
We fabricate new vessels and floating plant to client or in-house design — small and medium workboats, fishing craft, pontoons, barges and floating platforms. Naval architecture, structural detailing, fabrication, outfitting and coatings are handled in sequence by teams that work together routinely, which is what keeps a build on schedule.
How we deliver
Every rehabilitation runs to a written scope agreed before mobilisation, a schedule with named milestones, and a nominated supervisor on site throughout. Steel and consumables are secured before crews mobilise — on Lake Tanganyika in particular, a materials shortfall mid-project can cost weeks rather than days. Work is photographed at each stage and handed over with measurements, materials records and as-built notes.

- MT Sangara — full rehabilitation for TASHICO, including structural repair, engine room works and complete repainting
- MV Musumba — structural arc welding to the starboard side as part of the vessel's rehabilitation programme
- Kigoma Terminal Port pontoon — structural repair, flotation reinforcement and repainting
- JKT Bulombora fishing fleet — restoration and upgrade of small fishing craft to seaworthy, compliant condition
