Marine survey and inspection
A survey is only worth what its report can be used for. Ours are written to be acted on — by an owner deciding whether to repair or replace, an insurer setting cover, a port authority verifying a dredged channel, or a buyer deciding what a vessel is worth.
Vessel and machinery survey
- Condition and damage surveys — structural condition, corrosion mapping, plate thickness assessment, defect listing with photographic evidence and prioritised recommendations
- Engine room and machinery inspection — propulsion, auxiliary and power systems assessed for performance, reliability and remaining service life, with fault diagnosis and maintenance recommendations
- Pre-purchase and valuation survey — independent assessment before acquisition
- Pre- and post-repair survey — verification that completed work meets the agreed specification
Hydrographic and marine site survey
- Post-dredge survey — verification of achieved depths and dredging effectiveness against specification, confirming navigation channels meet the required standard for safe vessel access
- Bathymetric survey — depth and seabed profiling for berth, channel and approach planning
- Pre-works site survey — baseline data for marine construction, dredging and infrastructure projects
Geotechnical investigation
For marine and shore infrastructure, we carry out subsurface investigation — drilling, sampling, standard penetration testing and laboratory analysis of soil and rock properties — to establish whether ground conditions can carry the intended structure. Recent work includes investigation along the Bunda–Ukerewe corridor.
What you receive
A written report with findings, photographic evidence, measurements and data tables, a clear statement of condition, and prioritised recommendations separating what must be addressed now from what can be scheduled. Where the survey supports a repair decision, we can price the recommended works separately — and we will say plainly if the economic answer is not to repair.
