Surface preparation and protective coating work for GBP Marine at Tanga.
Kookje Engineering Company Limited engaged Aquarian to prepare and recoat GBP Marine's hull and structure. The scope covered mechanical surface preparation — chipping and cup brushing to remove corrosion and failed coating — ahead of a full protective paint system, extending the vessel's coating life and protecting the steel beneath. The job took the crew to Tanga on Tanzania's coast, alongside the inland lake work that makes up most of Aquarian's programme.
